Liz Rowe

I am a largely self-taught watercolour artist and have been painting for 25 years. I began my art journey when I joined The Victorian Art Society in 1987 where I enjoyed a semester of life drawing in charcoal. After experimenting with oils I discovered watercolour. I love the expressive nature of watercolour, the way the colours move and interact is something that I find exciting, you never know what may happen. I aim to achieve light and transparency into my work and enjoy capturing still life in natural settings as well as botanical work. I live in southern NSW on the land and spend as much time painting as farm life allows.
