I’ve been working as an artist in one form or another since my early 20’s.For 30 years I was a graphic designer and illustrator; originally in advertising agencies in Sydney, then in collaboration with two others we started an advertising and design studio and later I worked for myself as a freelance artist/designer.
I switched from commercial art and graphic design to painting in 2001.
The majority of my paintings are based around nature, as it provides a treasure trove of diversity, shape and colour. I have a deep love and concern for the environment and I aim to capture that passion in my paintings.
My formal training included studying design at the Shillito Design School in Sydney and an art course at the Northern Rivers College of Advanced Education. The rest is self-taught with the help of some very talented artists who generously shared their knowledge.
