Sally Tomkins

Sally Tomkins is an emerging artist from Sydney’s Inner West. She has taken part in numerous Sydney based Art shows and has had two solo exhibitions: Windows, in Glebe in 2016, and Coddiwomple at The Moree Gallery in 2020 . Sally is also “Mum” to two teenagers with busy lives.
Following a 20+ year career in psychology, she made an occupational sea change, deciding to dedicate more time to her oil painting which she is thoroughly enjoying. Sally has 2 four legged studio assistants who keep her company while she paints.
Sally paints with oil paints using both brush and palette knives. While her subjects include children, dogs, and still life, it is her interiors that she is best known for. Sally creates rich textures and a sense of light and vibrancy in her works.
Sally was a finalist at Fishers Ghost Art Award in 2016 and 2017 and early in 2020 raised over $6,000 for the WIRES Bushfire Appeal through a successful online art auction.
