Collection: Nerida Woolley

Artist Statement

Nerida Woolley is an Australian landscape painter working primarily in oils. Her paintings explore the quiet beauty of rural Australia—weathered farmhouses, open paddocks, and the soft, shifting colours of the land. Inspired by long drives through the countryside and the legacy of Australian impressionists such as Arthur Streeton, her work seeks to capture atmosphere, memory, and a sense of place rather than exact detail.

Using a restrained palette of muted greens, blues and earth tones, Woolley focuses on light, mood and simplicity. Each painting is an invitation to pause and reflect on the understated poetry of the Australian landscape and the stories held within its quiet spaces.
