“A nostalgic pull guides me further under the eucalyptus arches. My feet and soul know the path ahead. The bush opens its gentle embrace onto rolling, sea-of-grass-topped hills. Curvy gums bow down to shade mobs of kangaroos in beds of bracken fern. I breathe deeply, knowing this place and, in turn, it knows me. There is excitement, for I am almost back there now.

This painting depicts a place of childhood memories — a place that helped shape who I am today. These small moments in the natural world, experienced as a child, can guide and transform our entire future.”
